Martin Brassell
CEO and Co-Founder

Martin Brassell is a specialist in the commercial use of intellectual property; how it can be used to generate business value through incorporation in products and services, and through other monetisation techniques such as licensing, collaboration and fundraising. Martin draws on more than 30 years of experience, as a senior manager with responsibility for intellectual assets in small, medium and large enterprises; as an adviser to high growth businesses; and as co-founder and CEO of the UK company Inngot Limited (www.inngot.com).

The Inngot team have helped thousands of businesses to make better use of their IP and intangibles, by offering consulting services, training and education and online tools. Martin first worked with IPOS on strategy and IP financing projects in 2014, and since then has led the team responsible for producing many of the business guides, videos and training materials available from IPOS International.

As well as reports for IPOS covering IP transactions, management and valuation, Martin has written a number of influential works on IP identification and financing. His international publications include Fostering the use of intangibles to strengthen SME access to finance (2019) and Secured lending for SMEs: Making effective use of registries and intangibles (2022), both for OECD. He was lead author on two reports on intangibles identification for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and on the 2013 Banking on IP? report and 2017 Hidden Value report for the UK Intellectual Property Office. He has also co-authored a reference work for Oxford University Press, Economic Approaches to Intellectual Property, with Dr Nicola Searle.

Martin is an RSA Fellow and a member of CIPA’s IP Commercialisation Committee. He and Inngot are recognised by IAM Magazine as Global Leaders in its latest assessment of the top 300 IP strategists worldwide (see https://lnkd.in/g6jqY5z5).

Kylie Peh is a Partner in WongPartnership’s Intellectual Property, Technology & Data Practice. Her main practice areas encompass both contentious and non-contentious IP, IP portfolio management, technology, media and telecommunications work (TMT), as well as privacy and data protection.

In the area of IP, Kylie has been involved in transactional, enforcement and advisory work including franchising and IP due diligence, IP asset acquisitions, divestments and other arrangements in the context of corporate mergers and acquisitions, as well as advising brand and rights holders on the creation, protection, enforcement and exploitation of their IP rights and assets.

She has been recognised as a recommended lawyer in The Legal 500: Asia Pacific - The Client's Guide to the Asia Pacific Legal Profession since 2016 for the areas of IP and TMT. She was also named as one of Asia’s top 50 TMT practitioners in ALB's Super 50 TMT Lawyers 2022 and recognised in Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Women in Business Law Expert Guide 2020 for the area of TMT/Privacy & Data Protection. Kylie was also recognised as an ‘Up and coming Lawyer’ in Technology, Media and Telecommunications by Chambers Asia Pacific 2023.

Associate Professor Eric Gan Kok Wah
Head, IP and Innovation Management Programme

Associate Professor Eric GAN Kok Wah serves as the Head of the IP and Innovation Management Programme at the School of Business, Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), where he oversees graduate IP programmes, including the Master of IP and Innovation Management (IP Business) in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Previously, as Director (Capability Development) at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), he successfully led a team to plan and implement initiatives to enhance IP manpower capability in Singapore as part of the IP Hub Master Plan. Among these was the establishment of the IP Competency Framework (IPCF), a strategic guide for manpower development that maps the skills and competencies needed by IP professionals & practitioners and suggests pathways to close these gaps, as well as administration of the patent agent regime in Singapore and oversight of the Singapore Patent Agents Qualifying Examination. He also acted as a subject matter expert in the development of the national IP Skills Framework (IP SFw) under the collaboration of IPOS and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), which was launched in 2019.
